Give up self righteous anger.
Give up looking for a sense of humor, if you don’t have it by this time, you never will.
Give up thinking that loving God and serving God is a joyless task.
Give up trying to understand satire, you just can’t.
Give up laughter, because you know that is what Jesus would want of you.

Refreshing, witty, hilarious! Best list I’ve seen in ages. My son and I were overcome with giggles! Thank you for fodder for laughter. I will definitely be checking back with Amish Catholic.

It will be hard to give up Dundee’s sublime Bard- I am currently gorging on his transcendental effusions, just enough to maintain me through the empty MacGonagall-less wastes. Here, for our mutual consolation, I close with that mighty bathic conclusion of “The Tay Bridge Disaster”: “I must now conclude my lay
By telling the world fearlessly without the least dismay
That your central girders would not have given way,
At least many sensible men do say,
Had they been supported on each side with buttresses,
At least many sensible men confesses,
For the stronger we our houses do build,
The less chance we have of being killed.”
